Roasted chicory root is my answer. I’m just not a fan of teas at breakfast even though I like all kinds of herbal teas for any other time. I order chicory root online from a New Orleans company - Cajun addition to coffee for smoothness. It takes only half the grounds to brew a strong cup, and BEST OF ALL, no caffeine. It has a very similar taste, which technically is bitter, and of course it is that hot, dark liquid for sipping. Decaff coffee is less than ideal to my taste, but in any case, decaff for glaucoma.
