Is there a comprehensive, complete list of the glaucoma eye drops that do not contain any BAK (or BAC) Benzalkonium Chloride, both in the USA and in other countries?

If so, can someone post the list here or post a link if it is in the Internet? It would help us all a lot and it would help our doctors who want to help but often don't know where to start.

I am not aware of any comprehensive list, but I believe we can create one as the answer here.

I suggest we add the drops we know of here in the comments, then assemble all the comments into an answer.

The BAK-free drops I know of are:

  • Zioptan: contains tafluprost (a prostaglandin analogue)
  • Timoptic in Ocudose: contains timolol, available in both 0.25% and 0.5% strengths.
  • Travatan-Z: travoprost (a prostaglandin analogue)
  • COSOPT Preservative-Free (which may also be available as a generic): contains Dorzolamide and Timolol combination.

Another option that may count as an answer to this question is to use a compounding pharmacy. Compounding pharmacies can make many different glaucoma eye drops as preservative-free versions.

I use Duo Trav by Alcon which is Preservative free!(No BAK!)
