Magnesium is sometimes referred to as "nature's calcium channel blocker (CCB)". It is much gentler than pharmaceutical CCBs, however, and doesn't have the side effects they do. I remember reading that CCBs have been used with some success in glaucoma. Magnesium is recommended for Flammer syndrome too. I wonder if magnesium threonate (Magtein) would be better than other forms since it crosses the blood brain barrier easily. I am currently using mag citrate, 150mg, twice a day.
