Hello community. Please I want to ask anyone who is a medical student and also glacouma patient.
How are you handling the things due to the kinds of stress of medical school?
Does that stress affect you so much?

Yes, we have a FitEyes member who is a glaucoma patient and he recently graduated from medical school. He joined FitEyes while he was still in undergraduate studies. He did very well in medical school. He's now completing his residency and has a limited time to respond to messages.

He used meditation, good nutrition, and a lot of dietary supplements.

Hi there— I went through med school a few yrs after my dx of glaucoma (which is now downgraded to ocular htn). I would recommend, as David and the community does, to get a home Tonometer and observe IOP changes with diet/exercise/stress/volume intake/sleep/and supplements. Meditation practice, particularly Serene Impulse is a very useful strategy. Overall, doable with the tools and the desire for internal insight and personal growth. Meds alone are often not sufficient. Happy to help you through this process.
