From my experience I have seen Glaucoma patients having or had in the past one of the gut related issues like IBS, SIBO, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease and IBD.
Treating the person as a whole is the key in maintaining eye health.

Sometimes I wonder whether a fecal transplant would have any effect on a person's glaucoma. A study to determine the same would be interesting.
Fecal transplants have had noticeable effects on weight gain/loss, mood and personality, and have been used as treatment for a number of conditions such as Parkinson's and autism (see link below), so some sort of effect on glaucoma may be possible.
