I have a pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and would need a cataract surgery performed. It is known that cataract surgery is difficult when pseudoexfoliation is present, with complications that may develop both during the surgery and afterwards. Which approaches are considered to have a chance of better outcome here:
- just replacing the lens;
- doing something to fix glaucoma as well (if yes - what would it be?)
- doing something to support the new lens better (installing a special support) ?
And also - which eye surgeons are experts in cataract with PXF:
- in the Chicago area
- in USA ?
